Meet The Owner
Hi! My name is Ann Giboo and I am the proud owner of the soon to be Little Rascal’s Pet Spa & Resort!
When I was a kid, I dreamed about owning my own business and following that “American Dream!” As you get older, you realize that life as a kid is simple and your parents kind of buffer the “harder” things that eventually you have to learn to navigate on your own. While going through some of that self-navigation, as a child and an adult, there was always one thing that kept me level. They were animals, not just my own, but even my friends’ or a strangers’ at the park. They are always a constant, always there for you, always making you smile (or shake your head), but They. Are. There.
As I was chasing that “American Dream” I was always looking to do something that would help our community, be needed, be self-fulfilling and of course profitable - I just couldn’t quite put my finger on what fit that mold for the blurry image I had in my head!
One day, I was listening to a conversation about a person not being able to get their dog into a kennel on such short notice when a family member had passed away. A few days later another person mentioned that they couldn’t find a place for their pup to go while they were taking a weekend racing trip. It was then that the idea of building a “puppy palace” hit me! It fit my mold! When I went home and told my husband (also my contractor) about it, he said okay, you need to draw it out, so there I was trying to get that blurry image out of my head and on paper and we haven’t stopped moving forward since! Now, we are waiting for our kennels and soon I will be living my dream!
My whole heart is in this business and I cannot wait to share it with you and your furry babies!!
